Drop salt button on back gets corroded and shuts the spreader down.

Overall it was a decent unit. I ran forges for years and prefer stainless steel. Need to figure out a way to clear jams in the box from hardened salt. especially when theres a salt shortage and we get bad salt. Many times we had to go in and shovel out and free hardened salt on the inside. stonger auger, bugger auger, stronger vibrators on stainless steel, rotating knives on the lobes of the auger blades.

Your wiring harness is not easily accessible during winter months. With the cold it becomes frail and frigid. The connection snaps off. Other than that and the extra wire that I have to find room for in my truck it’s a great spreader. Not happy you took the plastic piece off the bottom of the spreader. Makes it rest on the spinner during storage
