The plow is down right amazing. It cut though a 4-5 wall of packed snow like a hot knife though butter, the quickness of the controls is awesome, there is basically no delay, and the fact that is is no chains, and when you go over bumps or rail road crossings the plow does not bounce.

Yes -- Having meet some of the people at "The Boss" it give you kind of a warm feeling knowing where the product comes from. Also the simple fact that the products are amazing.

My 8'2" poly the mold board kept pulling off frame. meaning the bottom screws seemed as if it would hold into the frame. I was plowing about 10mph hit a manhole cover that was sticking up a bit ( i didnt see it snow covered) the poly mold board at the bottom popped right out. I have since changes to steel wings for it. WOuldn'tget a poly again due to that reason. and i cant find the bottom insert screws to repair.

Yes -- I am a boss fan. I would buy no other plow. Easy and quick to place on the truck easy to take it off/ The speed and durability of the boss plows stand far above the rest, and I have 5 of them.

We only run boss v plows. Great realiability easy to fix and work on, if there is something wrong, it is rare that something is wrong. In our mind, they just simply work and are productive versus other makes and straight blades. Adding Boss plows to our operation gives us one less thing to worry about when it snows.

Yes -- No other plow in our opinions.

Both plows work very well. Quick and easy to use. I don't feel the extra weight and cost is worth purchasing a V XT. I would buy another Boss plow.

Excellent plows! Have used Boss V Plows for over 13 years, and have minimal problems with them. They hold up extremely well to harsh winters and hard use. Currently have 6 - 9'2" V Plows.

Yes -- Absolutely! Will not even consider another type of plow!

I test drove the 9'2" late this winter from my local dealer Wohlfiel's and loved it.

Yes -- You have a good product but behind the good product my dealer is excellent.

Reasons I can't give it 5 stars: A little under-powered at times when angling while pushing and when stacking real wet & heavy cement ... which is often for me. After multiple attempts to fix from brand new (still under warranty) the lift cylinder seal(s) still "howls/screaches" when lifting in scoop ... worst when struggling to lift/stack heavy snow but also makes the noise empty. Constantly coating the lift cylinder with grease does eliminate this noise. Also frustrating that the moldboard(s) flops over far too easily when stacking in scoop mode ... and I do have the trip springs set a little tighter than "recommended". The 9'2" just carries/holds too much snow to have same components as the smaller plows ... imho. The chainless lift has its obvious benefits (which I appreciate considering some of the badly heaved back roads I travel) but the blade does not float/drop far enough to stay on the ground and catch all the snow over slightly abrupt elevation changes ... leaving behind a mess that cannot be cleaned up going either direction. I have quite a few areas like this on my route and it really is a big deal. I even looked into a custom telescopic type cylinder (only really need to drop another 2 or 3 inches) to solve this but a one-off cylinder was insanely expensive ... though do-able. Also be nice to get the tips of wings a little higher of the ground when transporting in v position. The trip springs are wearing into the bottom of pump housing (moldboard raised fully) ... which of course is not ideal and causes rust and needless wear. Similar to the trip springs rubbing on each other (which you guys made me a new yoke to correct and has worked well btw!). It's July so that's about all I can think of right now as far as deficiencies. I ran a number of Curtis 8-1/2' straight blades for 12 years basically trouble free and this is my first Boss VXT so there was a bit of a learning curve ... all in all I love this new plow aside from the few "hinderances" mentioned. We get some deep heavy snowfalls at times and I no longer worry about punching through it. Hanging this VXT on the front of my Dodge CTD has turned it into a tank ... literally. It would take pages to write about the things I really like about this VXT ... suffice to say ... great job to date and keep it coming. At this point, you're not going to see anything but a 9'2" Boss VXT Poly hangin' off the front of my truck.

Yes -- Short answer ... nothing else out there at this time even compares to the VXT. Weight was obviously a big concern for me when buying a 9'2" V plow ... Boss hands down. I actually had already pre-purchased the new Meyer Super V but the ground clearance was unacceptable and it was far too heavy ... much heavier than I was lead to believe when I made the decision. I initially went with the Meyer because of dual acting cylinders and trip edge ... compared to the Boss system? ... I guess they both have good & bad points. The Smart Locks work great for back-dragging ... although at first I did miss being able to angle the blade during this operation. Not a real big deal after learning to deal with it. Simplicity is important also. And I was surprised at how well the blade trips in both scoop & v position ... this was a big concern but I've had no problems with the full moldboard trip action used by Boss so far . Only drawback is, again, the moldboards flopping over rather easily when stacking the heavy stuff in scoop ... worst in tight areas as opposed to parking lots where you can roll into the piles with a little speed and motion ... if you know what I mean.
